COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Ugh! submitted by James C. Clark on December 22, 2013, 9:42am The title of this review says it all.

Monsters University submitted by SBNB on June 22, 2014, 1:52pm This is a fun prequel. I enjoyed seeing more of the monster-world.

ok submitted by hornv on June 27, 2014, 7:54pm I liked monsters inc. better. They didn't even have to make this movie.

Okay submitted by jarroyo on July 5, 2014, 9:14am This movie is okay. It isn't nearly as good as Monster's, Inc.

I loved it submitted by chioma on July 9, 2014, 11:40am i think that this movie was great!!!!! I loved it, it was funny and it had problems in it. i was interested through out. I can not believe that some people think that it was awful. I think that this movie is amazing!

Nice family movie submitted by srclark734 on July 9, 2014, 3:15pm As usual the first was better, but I really enjoyed this

Monsters University submitted by mk31 on July 20, 2014, 3:23pm Although this movie was not as good as Monsters Inc., it was still very good. Very funny and great for all ages.

Amazing! submitted by cowmooflage on July 27, 2014, 8:38pm Greatly heartfelt, super cute, very funny, and filled with life lessons about the values of hard work and friendship. I honestly don't know why these other reviewers didn't like it. I think it was a fantastic movie and definitely Pixar quality

As good as the first submitted by mrajraspn08 on August 9, 2014, 9:46am I thought this was one of the few sequel/prequels that lived up to the first. The concept is a little weak, but it's a funny, enlightening film that stays true to the original. The end sequence showing Mike and Sully's rise to the present made the movie for me. Loved it.

Its pretty good submitted by ifechijie on August 9, 2014, 12:08pm its more exciting than the first one but kind of corny

Funny submitted by TheHogans on June 21, 2015, 2:11pm Almost as good as the first Monster's Inc.

say no to monsters... submitted by Kikumatsu97 on July 6, 2015, 3:55pm theres no point in bothering to watch this one. The kids like it okay, but we all agreed the first is better than this one... they should have worked a lot harder to make this more involved... its not funny. The whole prequel thing is super annoying too, why not just pick up where we left off in one? oh well, @Pixar can't win 'em all (Wreck It Ralph)

funny submitted by Jada Lee on August 6, 2015, 12:18am Super funny movie. Mikes braces are cute. I like this one better than thefirst one.

Monsters University submitted by staceylbrockman on July 16, 2016, 1:22pm Cute movie; Fun for both kids and adults

Prequel That Expands the Universe submitted by Meginator on August 2, 2017, 3:12pm It's difficult to make a prequel that tells the audience something new about already beloved characters, but I think that Monsters University manages to do it. This is a film that's worthy of Pixar, that hits all the right notes and explores the meaning of friendship and the importance of self-discovery and self-understanding, wrapped in a fun package that lightly pokes fun of college stereotypes. This film may not be quite as funny or (certainly) as original as Monsters, Inc., but it's a lot of fun and embodies a lot of what has made Pixar's films so consistently successful.

Great submitted by Rumshaker13 on August 9, 2018, 9:23pm Fun movie and good sequel. The first movie seemed a little better for kids. But great backstory and character development

rah rah submitted by lisa on August 14, 2018, 2:33pm sis boom bah

monsters university submitted by sandri on August 29, 2018, 6:58pm grabs at your attention and doesn't let go

no point in watching submitted by jakiehl on July 19, 2021, 10:48am go with something else oń movie night. The idea is a weak one.

Cute submitted by TLW1998 on June 23, 2022, 11:57pm My daughter liked this after watching the original

Cute submitted by Abbie D. on July 10, 2022, 5:25pm Fun prequel!

A Rarity submitted by Bethybeth07 on August 3, 2022, 4:30pm This is one of those rare times where I almost think the prequal is better than the original movie.

Cute! submitted by AGAPHD on August 9, 2023, 6:27pm This is a fun take on a college movie....Greek life, dorm rooms, tough professors.
