Hayes describes in detail the six months she spent as a sex slave working seven nights a week, servicing "on average, about twenty-five customers every night." The book is a gripping if grim look at the psychology behind the pimp-whore relationship.

Important and well done submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on July 18, 2014, 10:14am So well-written that the language was easy to read, but the story is frightening and heartwrenching in how normal this young woman's life was, and how easily she was trapped by a man who set himself up as her friend for years. We often think of trafficked women as desperate people from Third World countries, but Hayes' story tells us that this is not the only story out there.

An important book. An "easy" read (at least, in terms of the writing, if not the content). Highly recommended.
