Lucas is a former school teacher who has been forced to start over having overcome a tough divorce and the loss of his job. Just as things are starting to go his way, his life is shattered when an untruthful remark throws his small community into a collective state of hysteria. As the lie spreads, Lucas is forced to fight a lonely fight for his life and dignity.

Danish Cinema FTW submitted by allishaklausch on June 17, 2014, 6:45pm This was an amazing movie. The subject matter of sexual abuse is a heavy one, but The Hunt handles it carefully. It never made light of the accusations while at the same time showing how devastating false ones can be. The main actor won several well deserved awards for this movie.

Amazing Film submitted by arguzman on July 3, 2014, 12:47pm I came into this movie not knowing the subject matter, and boy was it a hard sit for me. However, it's a very well-made movie showing the dangers of fear, paranoia and herd-mentality and I highly recommend it. Mads was great in this movie and I also must mention the little girl who was GREAT and had a wonderful, subtle performance.
