Nova Prime has become mankind's new home. Legendary General Cypher Raige returns from an extended tour of duty to his estranged family, ready to be a father to his son, Kitai. When an asteroid storm damages Cypher and Kitai's craft, they crash-land on a now unfamiliar and dangerous Earth. As his father lies dying in the cockpit, Kitai must trek across the hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon.

Not worth your time submitted by hathaway1066 on August 7, 2014, 12:25pm First, I have to admit I didn't watch the whole movie, so maybe there are parts that ARE worth watching. But I usually DO watch all of them and my not doing so here is due to this being unusually bad. That's why I say to avoid this. I'm not sure why it was made, or why it was SO slow and stilted. Will Smith can often do a good job, but he's in a non-action role for as much of the movie as I watched so he doesn't really help this movie. I suspect he's trying to help launch his son's acting career, but sorry to say, that may not be the wisest course of action. Even with a bevy of solid acting around him, and CGI and so on, there's not the same skill/conviction/etc. on the part of Jaden as Will is able to bring.

Poor acting and storyline submitted by leenajong on August 18, 2015, 9:27pm It looked as if this was made to showcase Jaden, but really fell short of entertaining.
