Tons of recipes! submitted by yugure on October 15, 2013, 2:17pm If you're interested in incorporating smoothies into your diet but don't know where to start, this is an excellent beginner's guide. Palatsky does a nice job of laying out the foundations of good smoothies and has A TON of recipes for you to choose from. My favorite is the Cinna-bun (can't quite recall the name but it's something like that) smoothie and the Pecan Pie smoothie. I usually add other ingredients to Palatsky's recipes (like a handful of baby greens or spinach, flaxseed, silken tofu, etc) because some of them are purely dessert-type smoothies and I like to make mine for breakfast and want to make sure I'm getting a wide variety of nutrients. I didn't find the categorizations (like Calming or Brain-Boosting) to be particularly helpful or very clear - many of the recipes seemed like they could be in any number of categories. I do think it would be nice to have a list of recipes by season (spring summer fall winter) or holiday. (Which reminds me - this book was sadly lacking in pumpkin smoothies!)
