Detailed Veggies submitted by ssands on August 20, 2014, 8:48pm The detailed information about growing many, many varieties of common and truly unusual vegetables is great. The author has compiled the basics like days to maturity and how far apart to plant and combined that with his own observations. The only problem I see is that every category of information is not available for every plant -- some plants have the optimum germination temperature, while others will be missing that and have some other information like the best pH. Probably some of it just isn't known and I'm glad that he put in the information where possible. Overall, it is one of the best general guides to garden vegetables.
