Real hard science fiction submitted by peteralway on August 25, 2016, 6:34pm I had the opportunity to see this film at the Michigan Theater a couple of years ago. As an astronomy and physics instructor, I was impressed by the scientific accuracy of the movie. While not perfect, I thought the science of the premise was entirely reasonable and realistic. As a story, I found it gripping and reasonably satisfying. This is real, "hard" science fiction of the sort that is rare these days of superheroes and space opera.
