Ok movie based on an ok book submitted by beeniepie on June 21, 2014, 12:28pm This movie was a fairly close adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's book about aliens invading the human race. The book itself was ok, so I wasn't surprised that the movie didn't blow me away. Saoirse Ronan did an excellent job of portraying both personalities. Her chemistry with the two male leads were good. Diane Kruger was an accurate portrayal of the novel's antagonist, but the sense of tension and fear just wasn't there. The special effects were ok, but definitely not a reason to watch the movie.
