COMMUNITY REVIEWS
What Maisie Knew submitted by carolynherrmann on August 22, 2015, 2:59pm This movie is entirely from the eyes of the child. It is very good to see how she views the divorce of her parents and their subsequent battles. The parents are narcissistic - almost to an unbelievable extreme. However, I think it is an excellent movie. It forces you to see divorce from the eyes of a child - the only one in that situation who has basically no control of what happens to her since she is a dependent of these two fairly emotionally neglectful people. Deeply thought provoking movie.
Great Perspective submitted by Maria Maguire on July 6, 2018, 2:01pm This film does a great job of showing the perspective of six year old Maisie as she watches her parents divorce. Neither of her parents are really suited for the job, and Maisie ends up being used as a weapon in the break up. I think this movie does a great job of showing the uncertainty and confusion of a child in her position, especially as she is left with strangers. The movie does end on a happy note, and shows that there are people who care for Maisie and can take care of her.
