New light submitted by ftan on July 8, 2013, 10:53pm This movie shows not just the amazing talent of Jackie Robinson, but the racial difficulties he had. It did not lie and portray him as a man who was happy despite the terrible treatment he received, but rather showed the anger he was forced to contain as threats poured in from rascists. Threats not just for him, but for his family, friends, and teamates. This movie showed me the terror African Americans lived in during a time of segregation. this movie was good.

great movie submitted by LVDS on August 19, 2013, 9:35am Good reminder how not so long ago, despite recent war horrors, prejudice was still active in USA. None of us should forget....and live today in peace, NOT judging those who look different on the outside.

Good, but... submitted by Steve Amick on July 7, 2014, 1:49pm ...if you're looking for the bittersweet condom-buying scene, that's in Summer of '42.
