misfits rule

The main characters are interesting - both are school misfits for different reasons, but have their own niches and seem to manage. The plot is of the 'get ready to suspend all disbelief' variety. Moxie (math/geometry nerd) has two weeks to find some missing art and eventually enlists her (asthmatic geocaching nerd) friend Ollie to help. The setting is vividly Boston. The action is rather intense - mob connections, grand theft, breaking and entering, flaunting curfew :-) - and thus not for the sensitive young reader.
(Not sure if this should be YA or middle grades - the library shelves it in Youth not Teen section so perhaps they consider it MG. The behavior is way more teenager-y though.)
