Jim Holden and the crew of the Rocinante are part of a vast flotilla of scientific and military ships going out to examine the artefact. But behind the scenes, a complex plot is unfolding, with the destruction of Holden at its core.

Fast moving hard sci fi with interesting characters submitted by kwamepr on July 18, 2023, 6:42pm The writers do a good job with pacing and developing several twists towards the end of the story. The universe is well developed and the characters mostly engaging. Some of them, like Amos, seem more complex than they actually are but this is likely because there’s room elsewhere in the series to continue to develop them. Would definitely recommend!

Really fun continuation submitted by bahr on July 21, 2023, 12:05am The story continues and doesn't disappoint. Humanity enters a stage that's bigger than it can handle and we watch as it struggles to grapple with it. I really enjoyed this one.
