Her ex-husband lives right across the street from her in Northern Michigan.
Mardi just breaks my heart and makes my smile- usually at the same time.

Perpetually broke, determined to make it on her own, she bumps up against the reality of being a woman on her own... and she nails it.

I wish she would write anotherr book, I'd love to see how she's doing.
