Broadly Appealing submitted by Meginator on August 11, 2021, 4:50pm This album is a good example of run-of-the-mill modern country music, built on down-home storytelling and immediately catchy sing-along choruses that feel tailor-made for the radio. Blake Shelton’s most common lyrical content concerns the many stages of love, but a few paeans to country life are sprinkled throughout as well. Shelton doesn’t really push himself here, but he doesn’t need to to make an album that is broadly enjoyable, if a bit plain.
