Best Gabriel Allon novel in a long time submitted by Jessamynrm on July 8, 2014, 7:33pm Daniel Silva's series focusing on the Mossad agent/art restorer Gabriel Allon has has a few installments that were more mediocre than masterful, but this book is the best in a long time. Silva--and Allon--are great when they focus less on the internal world of the characters (who can be a bit thin) and more on the intricacies of spy craft and international politics. The plot of this book involves a missing British public servant whose past is a sort of Cold War relic. What follows is a series of twists and turns as Allon and his team work to rescue her even though they don't quite know who she is.
