An exploration of how the actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution. The story is a time-shifting weave of six interlinking narratives, with diverse settings from the savagery of a Pacific Island in the 1850s to a dystopian Korea of the near future.

Surprisingly good submitted by chloecal on September 26, 2013, 9:28am Yes, it's a long movie and yes, some of it doesn't make any sense. But I was surprised at how it kept my attention throughout and I really enjoyed it. It's about how our lives, past, present and future all intertwine. It's told as 6 different stories in different eras. I found each story interesting and I liked trying to find the links between the stories.

I didn’t know what this movie was about before I started watching it, but I didn’t need to because it was just that good at the beginning.

Excellent and original movie submitted by samanthar on June 17, 2015, 11:01pm This movie is intriguing from the very beginning. Many stories and character lines are woven together throughout. If you blink (or take your mind off the movie for more than one second) you may miss something.

The great part about this movie for me is the superb acting. And the main actors/actresses play multiple roles. They are very well disguised, and it's fun to try and pick them all out.

The sets are beautiful and diverse. The dialog is beautiful. It can (almost certainly will) be confusing on the first watch, trying to figure everything out. But if it another go (and another, and another...). This movie gives a lot to think about for days after viewing.

Neo Seoul submitted by willow on August 18, 2015, 1:10pm In this segment of the movie, set in Seoul, Korea in 2144, the characters' eyes were altered to appear Korean. Bae Doona wore facial prosthetics and had five hours of makeup to "become" a Mexican woman.

Need to see again! submitted by Xris on August 11, 2019, 11:07pm Love the running theme of the two couples through all the time lines, that their love continues with them throughout time. Because of the 6 different time lines that are running, I need to see it again to have it hopefully make even more sense. And the make-up used for all of them is great!

Not For Me submitted by jibkidder on July 26, 2022, 6:07pm Really one of the worst movies I've ever seen, just a rambling mess of a film. The siblings certainly impacted culture via the Matrix, not necessarily for the better, but I truly can't think of a less enjoyable movie to watch.
