Cute submitted by yugure on August 7, 2013, 10:48am Wonderfully illustrated with interesting page layouts and excellent use of lighting/solid black. Klassen knows his stuff (not surprising - check out I Want My Hat Back and This is Not My Hat) Story was unexpected and quirky, which is pretty spot-on for Lemony Snicket.

good picture book submitted by manz on August 12, 2013, 3:06pm Such a cute picture book. A little boy sees the dark all over his house. One night the dark comes into his room. In the end the dark helps him find a bulb for his night light. So cute! I love the combination of Lemony Snicket's writing and Jon Klassen's illustrations.
