Unique submitted by lec.dank on June 17, 2016, 2:41pm Very interesting concept, looking at dragons in a very scientific way.

Good submitted by kathscot on August 17, 2016, 7:14am Childhood and first expedition of Lady Trent who lives in a Victorian like society where women are to be decorative, but her passions lead her to study dragons.

Not for me submitted by mrajraspn08 on August 19, 2018, 6:01pm Disappointing. Interesting concept that really didn't pan out for me.

For Fans of Fantasy and Science submitted by MollyWiding on July 23, 2019, 8:36pm This is the first novel in my favorite series of books. The series is feminist, science-focused, adventurous, romantic, and political. Marie Brennan created a heroine who struggles against sexism in her society and stands up for the rights of others in a realistic way. It's hard for her to overcome the restrictions society, her family, and her husband puts on her because of her gender, and while she isn't always successful she never stops fighting. As the series progresses she stands up for the rights of other women, lgbt people, indigenous people, poor people, and of course the dragons she is so passionate about protecting. It's an inspiring story filled with a surprising amount of real evolutionary science and political theory.
