It features the first two stories in Diana Wynne Jones' "Chrestomanci" series: 'Charmed Life' and 'The Lives of Christopher Chant.' In the books, there are some people with nine lives, and these people are powerful enchanters. One such enchanter is known as Chrestomanci, and it is their duty to control the practice of magic. The books feature the adventures of Chrestomanci, and those destined to become the next Chrestomanci.
These books are light-hearted, engaging, and are a must-read for fans of fantasy and/or Diana Wynne Jones.
