interesting submitted by michael007 on July 5, 2013, 5:14pm The book "Dead ever after" is interesting!

Disappointing finale submitted by rsmcphail on August 3, 2013, 6:21pm I can't argue with the author's resolution to the romantic tangle although it left me "meh." I can, however, express my disappointment with the structure - or lack of - of this final book of the series. It was filled with asides and backtracks - an zigzagging ugly mess that made me wonder about the author's state of mind. Confused? Defensive? Distracted? Whatever, it wasn't up to her usual, sterling standards.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 15, 2013, 12:20pm The final book in the Sookie Stackhouse series brings the story of the psychic waitress to a satisfactory end, although not the one I wanted. She did not end up with the guy I wanted her to, but she did end up with a good one. Jason also ends up getting married, which is nice considering all he's been through.
Author Charlaine Harris tied up most of Sookie's loose ends, including all the creatures/people who wanted to kill her, although I was sorry that some never got to redeem themselves.
My main complaint it that although the series is billed as mysteries, this one was decidedly not. It was very clear from the beginning who had done what and I just got frustrated with Sookie for taking so long to get it.

Hmm submitted by majean on August 16, 2018, 6:19pm I honestly don't understand Sam's deal in this book.
