When convicted child killer Oswald Danes miraculously survives his own execution, the footage holds America transfixed. And then everyone realizes that nobody is dying. Miracle Day continues submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on July 27, 2013, 11:06pm The world population continues to climb as no one on the planet dies in the second disc of "Miracle Day," the fourth series of "Torchwood." A CIA agent went to Britain to bring Capt. Jack Harkness and Gwen Cooper, the remaining Torchwood agents, to the United States, in hopes that they can help. Then, all three had to run from the authorities upon discovering that they have been framed as traitors.
"Torchwood" is a spin-off from "Doctor Who" featuring the formerly immortal (but now the only mortal person on the planet) Harkness, played by openly gay actor John Barrowman. Harkness is omnisexual and in this series we hear about two former boyfriends.
"Torchwood" is very graphic in every sense of the word and is not appropriate for anyone under 18. Sci fi fans will love it, even if there are sad and disturbing parts. The five discs take the viewer through a mystery of what caused the world to become a strange new, death-less place.
