Gus Lobel has been one of the best scouts in baseball for decades, but, despite his efforts to hide it, age is starting to catch up with him. Nevertheless, Gus-who can tell a pitch just by the crack of the bat-refuses to be benched for what may be the final innings of his career. The one person who might be able to help is also the one person Gus would never ask: his daughter, Mickie, an associate at a high-powered Atlanta law firm.
DVD, region 1, widescreen; Dolby Digital 5.1surround.

Did Not Like submitted by monkk on June 19, 2013, 1:25pm I was excited for this movie because I love most of the cast. Unfortunately it felt like every other generic sports movie that's been made before. I was expecting something special. At least there's Justin Timberlake's smile.
Enjoyed this submitted by DL on July 15, 2013, 5:23pm I really like the underdog winning and that is the type of movie this is.
Disappointing submitted by markwells on June 19, 2016, 1:29pm I too, really liked the cast of this movie but it seemed to lack any punch. Grade: C.
good baseball film submitted by manz on July 1, 2016, 10:40am A quality baseball film. Not my fave, but enjoyable. And Justin Timberlake!
A Solid Movie
submitted by eileenw on July 15, 2016, 10:53pm
A solid movie focusing on the strained relationship between an aging baseball scout (Clint Eastwood) and his daughter (Amy Adams) an up and coming lawyer.
The movie has enough attention to depth of relationships that it didn't feel like a fluff piece, and a rich baseball setting. But it doesn't quite follow through. It could have been a great movie but the second half just doesn't succeed the way it could have. Not a classic by any means, but an enjoyable way to spend an evening if you don't set your expectations too high.
Decent submitted by kelleyc on August 18, 2016, 7:30am I really liked the cast. A bit predictable, but enjoyable all the same.
age submitted by rjsjwilliams on June 30, 2018, 11:34am typical and predictable film with Clint Eastwood losing his vision and possibly his job. C-
