Excellent Primer submitted by timdufresne on August 8, 2018, 11:10am A good intro into ideas that have shaped modern art. I love books like this because for all of the "poo-poo"-ing of "modern art" (whatever people mean by that) all it takes is a very shallow dive into the history to appreciate the conversations and interesting complexities of what was going on. I won't dismiss anyone's aesthetic preferences, but just looking a little into this history made my trips to the museums much more enjoyable!
