Dick Van Dyke, Rose Marie, Morey Amsterdam, Larry Mathews, Mary Tyler Moore, Richard Deacon, Jerry Paris, Carl Reiner.
Pratfall-prone Rob and his wife Laura, along with wisecracking co-workers Sally and Buddy, continue to combine wit and slapstick. In "My husband is the best one," Rob finds himself in trouble with his boss and co-workers after Laura interferes in an interview he is giving on Alan Brady. In "Happy Birthday and too many more," Laura and Rob give Ritchie a birthday party, and 63 screaming moppets make a shambles of the Petrie house. In "The lady and the tiger and the lawyer," a handsome bachelor moves in next door and Rob and Laura become matchmakers. In "The life and love of Joe Coogan," Rob is overcome with jealousy when he meets one of Laura's old beaux and then discovers that she saved a box of love poems he sent her. In "A nice, friendly game of cards," Rob wins at poker and almost loses a few friends when he inadvertently uses a deck of marked cards. In "The brave and the backache," Rob consults a psychiatrist to determine whether a series of mysterious ailments is psychosomatic. In "The pen is mightier than the mouth," Rob and Buddy find themselves overworked and overwrought when Sally becomes a television personality overnight.
DVD, Region 1, full screen presentation; Dolby Digital mono.
