COMMUNITY REVIEWS

OMG! Neil Oliver is Perf... submitted by Kikumatsu97 on June 24, 2016, 6:12pm I LOVE this documentelligent DVD set! I Can't believe all the wonderful tidbits of seriously insane Scottish History- That being said, these reenactments are so bomb! I love all the blood and gore and the actors staring with their deadly eyes into the camera, it really makes me feel like I'm in the early AD's with the Kings of Scotland or Alba! I can't wait for my next disc to come through the holding process. If this DVD were a book, I wouldn't be able to put it down. I can't believe all the beautiful Scottish locations Neil travels to in order to give us the best possible understanding of how the climate might have been, those narrow alleys of rock wall? So impressive and yet terrifying to think of traveling with nothing but a knife or broadsword to protect. You can't even begin to understand the amount of Murder, treason, and Revolt against the British Empire that actually occurred until you watch this docuseries. I'm definitely giving this to my mother to watch, she'll be as engrossed as I in the color, sound, and portrayal of ancient Scotland and the challenges each new century bore as the country fought wildly for it's independence. GO SCOTLAND!!!
