Melanesian Biogeography submitted by sdunav on June 16, 2014, 8:00pm Flannery is an Australian biologist and museum curator who specializes in rare mammals - I've read some other good books by him. This one is a little too disjointed for me to recommend unless you're really interested in the Melanesian island biogeography, fruit bats, quolls (hmm, can I use this for scrabble?), cuscus, marsupial rats, etc.

There's also a bit about different Native cultures, but it doesn't go into enough depth, in my opinion.
