Nice movie! submitted by wookeny on July 22, 2019, 10:08pm This movie is great for young kids, and great for looking at in Christmas. This movie is not scary at all, and is actually really fun for even adults! 4/5 stars!!!
Should Be a Christmas Classic submitted by Meginator on July 4, 2022, 9:06am This delightful animated Christmas movie follows Santa’s second son, Arthur, as he attempts to deliver one final present (and save the spirit of Christmas in the process). The film’s depiction of Santa’s massive overnight operation is charming and thoroughly modern, with plenty of humorous moments for viewers of all ages, and the writers cleverly incorporates many generations’ worth of Santa-related legends into a single coherent plot. Although the story’s general trajectory isn’t ever really in doubt, its message about the importance and power of ethical conviction is surprisingly powerful, delivered courtesy of some unexpected twists and particularly painful (yet kid-appropriate) low points. This film has a lot of humor but also a lot of heart, as well as nuanced emotional arcs for older viewers that don’t get in the way of the kid-friendly plotline. Funny, heartwarming, and unique, this charming film is a surprisingly underrated modern classic that puts a great spin on familiar legends and convincingly brings them into the contemporary world.
