Fifteen-year-old Michael Vey, born with Tourette's syndrome and special electromagnetic powers, joins his techno-genius best friend and an alliance of other "electric" teenagers to battle powerful foes in the jungles of Peru, where Michael learns the Order of Elgen's plan to "restructure" the world.

Well written submitted by RG Reader on June 27, 2013, 10:41pm This well written science fiction will be enjoyed by teens and adults. It kept me captivated. Without spoiling the story, the close-calls with death (gory death) may not be appropriate for readers younger than high school. Characters are believable and realistic in their interactions with one another. Cliff hanger ending makes me wonder when the 3rd book will be available!

a fun teen read--but very much in the teens with super powers genre submitted by hathaway1066 on July 14, 2014, 8:03pm There's a decent explanation for how those involved came by their powers, and a very sinister corporate-evil-doer type who seeks to exploit them, but also a pretty decently realistic telling of certain parts of the story so as to keep things grounding in teen-world-view of a 'normal' teen. The main character's point of view is engaging.
