COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Totally works submitted by gardenfaerie on August 15, 2017, 11:57am Having enjoyed the entier Inspector Morse series (and Lweis, but that's a different review), I wasn't sure if I would like this prequel. I was even less sure when i saw the actor who is tll and thin and Morse was shorter and wider...but I was wrong. This series is wonderful. If you were a fan of Morse there are a lot of little details that make sense and if you never saw the series, this works on its own.

super submitted by yufamily on August 8, 2018, 12:46pm Shaun Evans is great as the young Inspector Morse.

Amazing submitted by saleder on July 9, 2019, 2:40pm This UK series, shown in the US as part of Masterpiece, is phenomenal. The cinematography, set design, costumes are all fantastic, and the actors have such great chemistry. A truly wonderful ensemble cast. The relationship between Morse and Thursday is so well written and played - a beautiful, difficult-at-times, nuanced friendship. Each episode is a stand-alone film in itself, as well having some continuous threads that carry the viewer along. This series is a prequel to the Inspector Morse TV series, based on books by Colin Dexter. I recommend watching all available seasons of Endeavour. There are a few "easter eggs" for those who have watched Inspector Morse, but this series stands on its own very well.

Great series submitted by purchasingqueen on August 10, 2023, 11:58pm I recently discovered this series and am really enjoying it. The characters are flawed and real; the costumes and sets authentic; and the storylines full of twists and turns. Morse & Thursday are a perfect team surrounded by a terrific supporting cast.
