Fun to watch submitted by Vienna Carinthia on June 15, 2013, 8:02pm I like this show - just sometimes the CGI is a little bit too artificial. However, all the characters are likeable and the show is very well made.

Canadian Murder Mystery submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on June 30, 2014, 10:07pm This fourth season of a Canadian murder mystery television series set in late 19th century Toronto begins with Detective Murdoch starting a life without Dr. Ogden, to whom he failed to propose at the end of the previous season. The sad beginning to the season nonetheless continues a 19th century "CSI" in which our hero employs modern-day science and forensic techniques to uncover clues and Holmes-like logic to solve cases.

In general "Murdoch" offers an interesting slice of the era. The characters meet Nicolas Tesla, Harry Houdini, Emma Goldman, and other scientists and celebrities of the era. Although the show has one, then another, medical examiner who is a woman (which was unusual for the era), it does portray many of the prejudices of the era--against women, gays, people of color, the Irish and Catholics.

Oh, CGI submitted by apicknell on July 17, 2015, 4:40pm I agree - the CGI this season gets a bit hokey but this changes in seasons to come!!
