London life in 1894

Interesting historical fiction-type book for kids. It includes words commonly used in late 1800 England - for instance, "cor" (an exclamation), "lucifers" (matches), and "trollywags" (slang for trousers). A nice glossary gives definitions of all such words,
There are two separate mysteries in this book - each solved by the same gang of kids.
A nice little read - although some young readers may find the extensive use of uncommon words somewhat cumbersome.
