A wonderfully deadpan, surprisingly touching coming-of-age story. 23-year-old Marina lives in a small, factory town by the sea where she passes her time watching Sir David Attenborough's nature programs, listening to the proto-punk songs of Suicide, goofing with her only friend Bella, and tending to her ailing father. When a visiting engineer comes to town, the two form a tentative relationship that pushes Marina into contact with the strange and complex world of adulthood.
DVD, NTSC, widescreen; Dolby Digital.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

poor movie, and really unconvincing acting. submitted by Tassos on September 17, 2019, 11:45am I borrowed this DVD mistakenly believing it was directed by George Lanthimos of "The Lobster" fame. But he is only an actor in it, the movie is directed by somebody else, and badly.

The other actors in this movie are third-rate Greek Actors, (as compared to Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell and O' Reilly, top tier actors, who appear in George's own movies, and if anything, the english translation somehow shields their poor performance which is very unconvincing in the original greek.

I have seen the whole movie, some of it on mute and subtitles, because I could not stand the unnatural and poor delivery of the lines by the third-rate actors.
