In the midst of a sudden spring snowstorm, an unknown man armed with a gun walks into an elementary school classroom. Outside the school, the town of Broken Branch watches and waits. Officer Meg Barrett holds the responsibility for the town's children in her hands. I LOVE thinking I’ve had a mystery figured out… being all smug and anticipating my book review… how I was the hot shot book whisperer and all… and then: WHAM!
I was so wrong!
Do you enjoy a family-based generational mystery?
If so, treat yourself to this fast read by Heather Gudenkauf.
A long-ago mystery suddenly doesn’t seem so solved when a family tragedy once again hits too close to home.
The story explores the way secrets can chip away at relationships.
And- I guessed wrong.

One of her best submitted by selujules on July 29, 2019, 6:34pm I've read a lot of books by this author, and this one is one of my favorites. I agree with the above reviewer: the plot will keep you guessing! Great characters and plot twists. Highly recommend!
