Finding ultra : rejecting middle age, becoming one of the world's fittest men, and discovering myself

Although I checked out this book primarily for Roll's thoughts on and practices with a plant-based diet, I found the entirety of the book - including the strangely compelling story of his youth and early adulthood - to be an engaging read. I appreciate Roll's honesty with his struggles and triumphs, and I find his story to be an inspiring one. It's especially heartening to know that he was able to achieve all that he has when, not that long ago, he struggled just climbing the stairs in his home.
