Great book

I love everything I've made from this book. Some of the recipes are more involved but most are pretty straighforward.

Must own

I loved this book so much when I checked it that my boyfriend bought it for me as a gift. The kind of cookbook that is more than a cookbook; you can read it in bed at night just for the endearing, heartwarming stories that Alana writes about her family and their experiences. Even as a vegan there are recipes in here that I've earmarked (the chai, salad dressings, pizza sauce, tea blends, snack bars, instant oatmeal....)

this book is yummy

And the food is too! Written in light, friendly style as if you are sitting in her kitchen... some of the things she makes from scratch are a little bit too much (pop tarts?), but her point that we can make delicious things from scratch is much needed nowadays.

must read!

This book is absolutely wonderful. It is amazing how many pantry staples you can make from scratch. This author's writing style is down-to-earth, friendly, smart, and accessible. I highly recommend this to everyone!
