Good Ending submitted by tree64 on June 15, 2012, 11:24am This is the last book in the Warriors sub-series "Omen of the Stars." It has a sad ending, which I probably shouldn't spoil, but it leaves a decent cliffhanger, meaning it will probably lead to a fifth sub-series by Erin Hunter. I enjoyed reading it, and if you enjoy books by Erin Hunter, you should definitely read this book.

So sad! ;( submitted by llgosbee on June 21, 2012, 12:14pm It was sad end, like Tree64 said, it's very depressing at the end. Keep in mind, when you're reading it this IS the last book in this time-period. So, expect the worst!

~Darkfang, going into 7th grade! :)

Really Awesome great ending! submitted by ooseung on August 18, 2014, 10:27pm The last hope is a really awesome ending to this series. Some parts are sad but really exciting and makes you want to read more and more. But i really think that the series should continue! :D

Sad submitted by Midnight on July 9, 2015, 5:00pm Be ready to have some tissues next to you when you read.

Depressing but good submitted by kjshaffer on July 22, 2019, 8:36am I felt like the end was really sad, but over all, The book was amazing!

Amazing, but heartbreaking as well... submitted by skalantr on July 31, 2019, 4:03pm The Great Battle is soooo sad... I agree with everyone who's written reviews so far. The book is amazing, and it's probably one of my favorites in the series!

A very good book DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THe BOOK submitted by jtatsak on August 15, 2021, 4:38pm Okay, this is a little sad. I love though how ivy pool FINALLY tells the clan about the dark forest! And how dove wing can hear all the way to starclan and back. The great battle was pretty depressing though, I don’t love how fern cloud, dies.(had REAL spotted leaf memories there.) I also am sad my favorite character, firestar dies. I am very happy though when holly leaf says “I am glad I came back to meet my mother” to leaf pool though. Overall, with all the drama and excitement a 5 star rating.
