P-U! submitted by plaryt on August 22, 2012, 3:49pm How does one come up with a stinker of this caliber while employing two Oscar winners and another Academy nominee of the Fonda pedigree? Simple. Saddle them with a script as trite, predictable and cliche-ridden as this one.

The actors appear embarrassed as they go through the motions on this one. Even the dog looks shamed. My son, who likes everything, said at the conclusion of the film, "That is the worst movie I have ever seen." Granted, he's only sixteen and there are many movies he hasn't seen, but he might be right.

Certainly there are worse movies, but for such a monumental waste of time and talent, this one deserves a place in the Cinematic Hall of Shame. This DVD carries the title of "Smitty", but for an accurate depiction, I would replace the 'M' with a consonant slightly earlier in the alphabet.
