"Pablo Picasso may have been a world-famous artist, but that doesn't mean no one ever called his artwork "ugly." Any kid who's been told what to draw, or heard mean things about something they made, will relate to this story about how Pablo faced down his critics and made something truly original."--Jacket flap.

What a great book for elem. art kids! submitted by Juliettie on June 17, 2012, 8:06pm I found this on the new book shelf and took it in for my son's elementary art teacher to see if she wanted to read it during the last week of school. She loved it and so did the kids. My son doesn't always love art, partly because he's been told his things don't look "real" enough and this book spoke to him. A great resource for any elementary art room.
