I Love This Book! submitted by Beth Manuel on July 1, 2012, 3:14pm This recipe book is organized by the colors of fruits and vegetables, so the chapters are titled " Red", "Orange" "Yellow", "Green", "Purple& Blue" and "White". There are beautiful photographs of the simple fruits or vegetables, from the 'extremely approachable' like celery, to the somewhat exotic, like jicama. There are delicious recipes that follow the photographs. The author offers a humorous blurb about the produce, and includes a quick run down of simple ways to use these bright colored blessings from the earth. For example, Simple Uses for Cucumbers: Suggests garlic dill pickles, tzatziki with a list of ingredients or a green salad: mixed greens, cucumbers, peaches, candied lemon peel and lemon vinaigrette. Simple! Delicious! This book would make a beautiful gift, too.
