deep themes submitted by camelsamba on July 11, 2013, 6:25pm Evan, Jessie, and their mother go to Grandma's house during Christmas vacation, in part to help out after a recent fire. When they get there, they come face-to-face with erratic behavior by Grandma (Evan especially). And to top it all off, the bell that is central to the New Year's Eve tradition has gone missing!

This book has some deep themes, and lots to discuss while reading aloud. Candy Smash is next in the series - I wonder how the situation with Grandma will resolve?
