Excellent Covers of Well-Known Songs submitted by Meginator on August 1, 2018, 10:31am Roberta Flack manages the (nearly) impossible on this album, bringing a genuinely new spin to the Beatles catalogue, covering many of the band's classic songs in her own style. It's refreshing to discover something new in these oft-heard songs, and it's very difficult to do well. Flack strikes a keen balance between maintaining the core of the original tunes and pushing them toward a new sound.
