COMMUNITY REVIEWS
A classic of history for thoughtful non-historians submitted by hathaway1066 on July 15, 2018, 6:00pm Tuchman is not one to litter her writing with actual footnotes or other citations, but her end notes show that she bases her writing on solid, and broad sources. Her writing is in-depth in its exploration of the events leading to Ww1and of the early events of that war, and it has become the established, accepted account of those events. Even if looking for alternative or 'fresh' explanations of the war, her version is worth reading simply as a reference point.
