Fun Book but Maybe Not Exactly Clear submitted by KPNF on August 14, 2018, 8:08am We enjoyed this story. The illustrations were humorous and there were a lot of little jokes In them. The message is that people should be appreciated and accepted for their differences. The only thing we wondered about was why it was necessary to title the book with an emphasis on the fact that Saul was “small”. The book focuses a bit more on the fact that the pirates did not accept Saul because of his demeanor more than anything. Someone can certainly be tough and small. Perhaps Saul’s smallness was a plot device necessary for him to not be accepted into the Navy?
