Love it submitted by Cami K on August 30, 2013, 6:50pm I first read this book when I was about 10. The whole series is great. And it still is a good read today. The characters and story fit into any generation.

book submitted by nicenora2371 on August 30, 2013, 10:17pm good book plot is hard to find out

Confusing submitted by Dannihu on July 9, 2014, 4:03pm A confusing plot but still interesting.

A Wrinkle In Time submitted by SBNB on July 31, 2014, 9:59pm This is a good sci-fi/fantasy book for kids. And it's a good start to a wonderful series following the Murry family. I highly recommend it!

Amazing submitted by kathscot on August 10, 2014, 11:00am This is a great book - full of wonder, humor and excitement. Don't miss it!

deep themes submitted by camelsamba on June 30, 2016, 9:12pm Madeleine L'Engle is perhaps my favorite author. In this book / series, I discovered fiction that could carry deep themes without being overtly preachy. But when reading it aloud to my 12 year old, I found it a bit confusing for him. I hope he will revisit it when he's a bit older, because there are some great truths in here: about relationships, abiding love, good against evil. I think it is more appropriate for teens / high schoolers than middle grades readers.

GREAT BOOK submitted by NC on June 15, 2018, 2:34pm Better than the movie! So many interesting characters and settings, and...
PARADOXES!!!
To see them, read the book!

Awesome submitted by Theaco on June 19, 2018, 11:01am I started this book this morning, I only read the first chapter and I am already in love with it!

Timeless classic submitted by Sarahcaps on June 21, 2018, 3:54pm I read this as a young adult and have been loving it each time I have a child reach the age that I get to read it aloud to them. Wonderful writing, engaging characters, neat concepts.

Amazing submitted by jw on August 1, 2018, 12:03pm I definitely prefer the book rather than the movie!!

Timeless submitted by sarai koster-mockeridge on August 4, 2018, 8:50am This book showed up on my daughter's high school summer reading list and she picked it. I got to read some with her and it reminded me how much I loved the book as a young adult many many years ago! It says a lot about the book that it's still on high school teacher's reading lists so many years later!

Classic SciFi submitted by majean on August 17, 2018, 7:16pm Great book for kids and fans of scifi and fantasy. My favorite of the series.

Fantastic Adventure submitted by lstorc on August 28, 2018, 7:36pm The story is classic, insightful, intriguing, and timeless. One could only benefit from reading this!

A never regretted book submitted by shanbao on July 26, 2019, 8:32pm This book was one of the most cherished books for my sister, and now is for me too

hate it submitted by yanxia cao on July 24, 2020, 1:53pm gross disgusting worst book ever

fun intro to sci-fi for kids submitted by apknapp on August 19, 2020, 6:06pm Never read this as a kid--I tried, but it didn't make sense (I was a very literal child, couldn't do sci-fi or fantasy, even fairy tales weirded me out). So I just now finally got around to it, and I'm glad I did. Fun characters: precocious Charles Wallace, impatient Meg, eccentric Mrs. Whatsit. Solid core themes: the suppression of individuality as the greatest possible evil, love will always triumph, adults are not infallible, kids saving themselves/each other. Cool sci-fi (tesseracts, time/space travel) wrapped in an easy-to-swallow fantasy gel-cap (witches, crystal balls, centaurs, magic items). And the writing was quite good, though I was sometimes frustrated by a lack of narrative depth: I wanted a lot more from the scene where Meg tries to describe the concept of sight to a member of a blind species--could've been a great exploration of the concepts of sense and perception, or her circular explanation could've at least provided a comic break from the heaviness of the plot at that point. I also didn't like the 'gifts' from Whatsit/Who/Which, those felt random and obligatory--it's like L'Engle was using a 'how to write an epic' checklist: "Heroes set out alone on dangerous quest? Check. Heroes are told nonsensical things and given seemingly arbitrary but later useful items from those who clearly know what's coming but won't tell them? Check." And I was frustrated by the father's general helplessness and lack of real connection to the kids--he was sort of an adult-shaped cardboard cutout. But it was enjoyable.

Good! submitted by Harlowamy on August 28, 2020, 11:51am A great book that you will not be able to stop reading!

I like it submitted by Mieke on July 1, 2021, 7:24pm Mysterious

A favorite submitted by amandasaurus on June 20, 2022, 12:23am So so so good! The style of writing is just beautiful and the universe is astoundingly detailed. The blend of spirituality and science is something that sparks a lot of thought. Int gets better with each book in the series.

Absolutley Loved It! submitted by emiliana on August 28, 2022, 9:11am A Wrinkle in Time is one of the best books I have ever read! It's very clever and mysterious! The description is sensational! It is detailed so grandly! Such a beautiful fantasy! It shows you that it's perfectly fine to make mistakes. It's good reading for small children to the elderly. It's a perfect way to spend a rainy day! I recommend this book 100%!

it's awesome submitted by mayaisAWESOME on August 28, 2022, 3:47pm It's a great book. There is an original version and a graphic novel version of this book. The original is better. The movie is good too.
