Interesting for Genealogists
This was an impulse grab off the library's new book shelf - it's short essays about genealogy and genealogical and historical research. Interesting if you're into those subjects - probably not so much if you're not.
There were pieces on celebrity genealogy (Obama's Irish ancestors traced back to a pub in Ireland), DNA testing (one of the better chapters - the author discovered an uncle was only a half-uncle - her deceased grandmother had an affair!), research for unclaimed bodies at coroner's offices and for the Army (mostly Korean war vets), a Civil War case, etc. It's fairly well-written but the author does blow her own horn a lot.
