This is a love story, the portrait of a young artist, the portrait of the young artist's myterious girlfriend, a thriller, and a comedy, all about the color blue. Now, in this book, the author takes on the Great French Masters; it is part mystery, part history (sort of), part love story, and wholly hilarious as it follows a young baker-painter as he joins the dapper Henri Toulouse-Lautrec on a quest to unravel the mystery behind the supposed "suicide" of Vincent van Gogh.

Hilarious and smart! submitted by tom.bray on June 29, 2014, 5:43pm Christopher Moore really nails a believable version of turn of the century Paris and the artists that were living there. Add in some supernatural plot twists and this makes a great read. I really recommend it. I went and checked out Coyote Blue as soon as I finished this one, and plan to read more of Moore!
