Ok submitted by Bookbird on July 26, 2014, 4:51pm Pretty good, follows the manga till "His Butler, Merrymaking" then it starts going off in a different direction. So for those who like the manga, don't watch Ep 7 since it has nothing to do with the manga.

Really Awesome Anime submitted by allishaklausch on August 22, 2016, 10:20pm The clothes in this anime are awesome, particularly Sebastian's. The plot is surprisingly good, though it can be a bit silly at times.Looking forward to watching more.

Great submitted by xiaoli zhang on August 8, 2019, 10:29pm This is one of my all-time fave animes

Doesn´t follow the manga submitted by Marina_Hope on July 22, 2023, 11:15am The Black Butler manga has a interesting plot with many well thought out arcs. Season 1 of the anime starts off resembling the manga but the overall plot diverges into a really weird storyline. (Season 2 is even worse). If you´re an fan of the manga, I strongly recomend skipping Seasons 1 & 2. Season 3 and beyond stick to the manga. If you´re new to Black Butler, please start with the manga. Yana Toboso is brilliant and deserves to have her work properly appreciated.
