Meh submitted by popsiclefroyo1 on June 19, 2014, 4:23pm This book reads like a loving friend (and eminence fan) who was frustrated (not always justified) at his idol. The author has a very clear bias towards himself and his family resulting in mixed versions of certain stories. But he does clear up a lot of lies believed by the public. He shows how fame impacted Michael Jackson's (lack of a) personal life. And how the author's family treated him like a normal person - which is debatable. It illustrates Frank's stressful work relationship with Michael resulting in the distance between them later on. According to Michael Jackson's nephew, Taryll, the distance came because Frank betrayed his uncle. None the less, there is a discussion about the "questionable" songs Frank Casio's brother put on the first posthumous album, "Michael." There are certain parts of the book where I wasn't sure why a true friend would reveal these things to the public. Of course, these are his version of the tales. The truth feels somewhere in the middle. Overall, after reading the book, I felt like everyone fought for Michael Jackson's "attention" no matter if they were a friend, foe, or the author himself.
