Least favorite in the series submitted by Ilyjtwya on July 19, 2012, 3:42am Honestly, this is my least favorite book of the vampire chronicles (even including the books which simply covered the characters but weren't actually listed as part of the series). Being written from Louis's perspective, the sound of the story is different than the books from Lestat's perspective. I am a big fan of her work, but I would recommend beginning the story line at the Vampire Lestat.
