Intro to Betsy Ross submitted by KPNF on August 26, 2017, 5:01am This book is a nice introduction to the legend of Betsy Ross for the younger reader (pre-school to grade 2 maybe). There is not much text or historical detail, but that would probably be lost on the pre-school or youngest reader anyway. The illustrations are very interesting and actually made from fabric appliqued in a manner similar to how stars would have been hand-sewn onto a flag. A bonus at the end is an explanation of how to cut a five-pointed star.
